POSCO DAEWOO hosted its first meeting of 2017 on Monday, setting its ambition to be a global top integrated business enterprise.

 

This year, the nation’s biggest trading company marks its 50 anniversary of foundation.

 

The meeting was held at the firm’s headquarters in Songdo, west of Seoul, with 100 senior staff members.  

 

“This year marks our 50th anniversary,” POSCO DAEWOO CEO Kim Young-sang said. “The time has come for us to prepare for the next 50 years. We need to have the attitude of embracing change and innovation. This will make it possible for the company to achieve growth in our strategic businesses such as 2Core (steel, petroleum gas) + 3Expansion (food, auto parts, IPP) and to develop new growth engines, which will end up making POSCO DAEWOO a global top integrated business enterprise.”
